Privacy

In short: the site has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no checkout. It counts visits and clicks with two analytics services, it can show a chat window, and it does not run advertising. The details follow.

Delivering the site

Requests pass through Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the site, and reach the site's server. Like any web service, both handle your IP address and browser details to answer the request and to stop abuse.

First-party analytics (TRACE)

Once the page has loaded, or at your first scroll, tap or key press, the site starts its own analytics service, run by the site owner and reached on this site's own address. It stores in your browser:

• a cookie named salari_vid holding a random visitor identifier, kept for up to 400 days, and the same identifier in local storage, so that repeat visits can be counted;
• in local storage, how you first arrived: the landing page, the referring site (its address only, not the full page) and any campaign tags in the link;
• in session storage, the current visit, which ends after 30 minutes without activity.

It sends: the pages you view (with their titles), links and buttons you click (the destination without its query string), how far down a page you scroll (25, 50, 75 and 100 percent), when a book card is at least half on screen, and on the prep planner the answers you choose and the book it recommends. With these it sends your browser, operating system, device type, language, time zone, and the rough size class of your screen. Nothing you type into the site is sent.

Google Analytics

The site also loads Google Analytics 4 at the same moment. Google sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) and records page views, the referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser details. Google processes this under its own terms and privacy policy. The site does not load Google's advertising tags and does not use the data to show you advertising.

Chat

The site loads a chat widget from Signalroom (signalroom.salari.dev), a chat service run by the site owner. The chat window stays hidden unless Mike starts a conversation. When the widget runs, it keeps a random visitor identifier and your chat history in your browser, and it tells the chat server which page you are on, the page title, the referring site and the pages opened during this visit; the server records your IP address, approximate location and browser. If you reply, your messages and any file you attach are stored so that Mike can read and answer them. If you leave an email address in the chat, it is used only to reply to you.

Purchases and other sites

Books are bought on Gumroad, under Gumroad's privacy policy; this site never sees your payment details. Links from this site to Gumroad, salari.dev and Interview Runtime carry tags saying they came from here (for example utm_source=mobileinterviewroom.com), so those sites can count where visitors came from. Free samples are PDF files served from salari.dev.

Email

If you write to the support address, your message and address are kept to answer you and are not added to any mailing list.

What is not collected

No account, no password, no payment details, no contact form. The site does not sell data, and it does not share it with anyone beyond the services named on this page.

Your choices

Clearing this site's cookies, local storage and session storage removes the identifiers. Browser tracking protection and content blockers stop the analytics and the chat; the site works the same without them. To ask what has been recorded about you, or to have it deleted, write to hello@mobileinterviewroom.com. Where a law such as the GDPR gives you rights over your data, the same address is how you use them.

Changes

When what the site records changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
